I bought a 3.5L 2002 TJ with 85K on the odo. The service logs are not very complete and I don't think it's had anything done for a while. There's a sticker on the window saying next service due at 94K and guess what, it's at 94 now :(

Anyway, I'm thinking it's time to do a major service on it. Heard timing belt should be changed at around 90k on a Magna? What else should I look at getting done at the same time. Any other major components that need servicing at around the 100k mark?

I have a bit of money saved up for this but I don't know much about these sorts of things. Around how much should I expect to pay for changing timing belt, all 6 plugs and whatever else needs to be done?

Also, can anyone recommend a good, honest Mitsu mech in western Sydney?

Should get a large service which includes oil, plugs, filters, tranny flush ect and at 90k you should only need a timing belt not a whole kit which is around $450 installed :)

Those larger services that include the transmission and wheel alignments ect are usually up around the $300 mark so for about $750 i think you can get away with it all!

Edit: Definatley do the plugs, i think the TJ's have platinum ones in the rear bank which die at 100k

My battery indicator light is playing up too. Sometimes it stays on for 10 to 20 minutes. What could cause that?
