hey guys, i have some weird things going on with my car. Firstly, is the gear selection display on the console suposed to light up during the day, ie, show what gear i am in because mine seems to do it at random. Sometimes the "d" lights up, other times theres nothing. Secondly, is there any reason why i would have never had lighting behind my aircon panel until tonight. I didnt even know there was a light there, and then tonight i went to flick the a/c on and i could see what was happening. When i got home i turned my headlights of then back on and the light is gone..

any ideas? it seems intermittent which i know is a pain, but yeah, any ideas would be great..

Sounds like some wires are crossed, or are faulty, check it out yourself with a "current meter" or take it to a mechanic.

any ideas on where they could possibly cross? i know it seems this way, but i dunno. the strange thing is if i floor it the dash gear indicators usually seem to come on... stupid tr intermittent faults...

Il pull the console out tomorrow and have a look but if anyone else has ideas that will save me doing it please feel free.

Sounds like a loose or sad bulb in the ac display and the switch on the selector may be a bit worn.:D
