Hi, wondering what tyres you guys are using on your KE onwards Veradas, or Magnas (Sports/V6si etc.) with the 215/60/16 size.

I have enquired at Bob Jane about the Yokohama A500 Aspec-DB, which is a quiet tyre that I have used before. They are available, and $149 each in 215/60/16

Alternatively the original equipment Bridgestone ER30 Turanzas in the same size are $133.

Which would you think is better, and why? Would greatly appreciate any of your feedback. I'm after a quiet tyre with good life. (Mainly highway driving......very sedate driving style) Probably a good idea to get the tyres changed soon, what with the large amounts of rain we're getting in Brisbane now!

Thanks

Stick with the Turanza E30's. That is why they are fitted to Veradas because they are quiet. Same with a lot of other top end cars.

I have tried many other brands of tyers and yes, to start off with, some are slightly quieter but the problem with all the others is once they are worn down they become very loud.
I had a set of Pirelli P6000's on my verada and they were ok but once they were over half worn, they became so loud i literally had trouble talking to people in the car with me and yes they were balanced and 4 wheel aligned every 10,000k's and the alignment was always perfect.

So overall if you want a good lasting tyre for the life of the tyre, stick with the Turanza's.
Usually the rule of thumb is the better peforming, the louder they get. It comes down to a bit of a trade off in the end.
