View Full Version : Protecting Front Spoiler

Just wonder what everyone does who has lowered cars (or standard height for that matter) to protect the bottom of the front spoiler from abrasions etc.
I realise that yes, I've lowered the thing and should expect this, but I'm sure there must be some product (apart from the clear stone chip film) which could do this.
Hitting a bump at 60 kays and going thunk is one thing - but when you brush a hump/driverway etc, is there a product or something to protect the paintwork?
Appreciate everyone's thoughts....
Cheers.

Didn't someone once mount some stainless steel to the base?
Can anyone remember who it was and did it work?

Yeah.. Just get some stainless brush plates as they were named!
Get em cut at your local metal man.. or Exhaust place.. shouldn't set you back too much..
Like Ego said.. nobody is really gonna see it.. so if you wanna save abrasions to the bar.. investing $5/10 aint gon hurt!

i think most auto stores sell underbody protection paint. looks black and is quiet thick but sets hard and u should be able to get it in a can. it stops most scraps and stone chips to the underbody so i guess it would work on ur spoiler as well. dosent look the best but u wont see it under there anyway. kinda looks like body deadener. cant remember its name but.

I know Porsche owners use the stainless rub strips. I've also heard of an Audi TT that had the clear bra stuff on the bottom edge of the nose.
