heya all im getting rims for my 97 wagon but im tossing up over what wheels.. Im not sure if i want to get chrome or silver?
My car is a darkish green but can scrub up shiny. so im thinking eithier the 18' blade rims from bobjane or a similar pair of 5 spoke rims but in chrome and thinner? the price difference is like 500 but im not sure if the chrome would even look good on my car.... :confused:
so yeah input please!
PS if any one has the same colour car as mine and has rims show us please!!:bowrofl:

i think i know the ones you're talking about - "lightning" from bob jane i think thye are called. they look pretty nice but you see them everywhere. still, they do look nice. if it's a dark green car you have i reckon chrome would look nice, i don't think it looks great on lighter colours like silver, depends what the style is too. also, if it aint lowered i wouldn't get chromes. just my opinion though.

i wouldnt get chromies man. they look sweet but they are a bastard to maintain.also more expensive.
the place i got mine from (they are hyper silver) showed me a few chromes they had on the rack brand new and they where already starting to pit ie almost ready to flake off.
i was going for chrome till i saw that.
if you hit any curbs like me (going through drive throughs) then they are screwed straight away.
its not worth it.

Chromies r nice, if u got sum imported USA F-250 dumped on its arse with 24" lol, honestly chromies r a bit wankey imo, go good old silver rims. They always work. They r a lot easier to take car of and less likey 2 attract bad attention (police, thiefs). Also dont look at white wheels, cause maintance is a problem, and they only look good on certain colours (red usually)! hope that helped!

since u have a dark colored car gowith chrome. go to bob jane and try em on and see wat they look like

Blades are cool but I would try and hunt down a Set of AMG Quakes.. they are an awesome looking rim..

yeah i think im leaning towards chrome at the moment, i wanna get them this week so i gotta get my head together! i went into bobjane and got them to put some rims up against my car to see how they went and if i got a chrome grill and tail bar with chrome wheels!:shock: that would rock my world. but whats this with the chrome flaking off on some wheels?? will this happen to all chrome wheels or just the cheaper ones?
