Now, I'm aware it isn't the most flashy install, but honestly, I don't care, haha. Noone looks in my boot anyway. and if I actually need to use my boot, my sub is only on velcro, so i can jsut unplug it, pull it out and i have about 95% of my boot
mmm, shiny spiders
despite spiders being scary, chrome ones are cool :D
what size cable are u using? and why does one cable look thinner than the other? the fat one better be the ground lol
Make sure the velcro will hold down the sub otherwise u might get a dented/scratched chrome spider.
You are now "The Chrome spider boy"

the fat red one is 4ga power cable, there's a 4ga black one that is the ground that isn't seen in that pic. the others are for.. i dunno, i didn't install it, haha.

well, as long as i get my tweeter (or crossover) replaced in time i'll be ready haha. But yeah, I think I do need a hand cause my volume level seems to be pretty high on my HU... i.e. the same volume that used to be at 40, is now at 60.. so when i'm on 40 it sounds really quiet :(

In regards to the question about using velcro to hold the sub in place. What other methods are available?
and how long did it take you to clean the fingerprints off it? hehe.
looks awsome.

There custom building it into a sub bok that's attached to your car, ive seen people use those truck tie things.. u know the **** u use to keep stuff on your roof racks etc.? I've found velco to be the cheapest and best - unless you wanna pay big bucks for custom.

hah, honestly i still hvan't got them all off! and i havn't really tried, it's in my boot, i never see it.. i'll clean it for meets etc. but that's about it, haha. They did come with cotton gloves to wipe it down with thoguh

nah that's the monoblock. this is the 500/4 which has an overall rating of 1000rms (4x250 @ 2ohms). But the model number is guided by 4x125 @ 4 ohms.

hey righty,
I've got the Soundstream Tarantula SST6.9 rears, but don't their magnets touch the boot struts. mine do and they vibrate like hell but they are some good speakers. After i've installed them, i'm thinking of selling my rockford subs lol
NICE setup by the way.

anyways, stimulate, is there a problem if the magnet is touching the boot struts?? (the magnets are protected by a rubber thing.

Is it causing resonance? Vibrations etc?
Generally its a bad thing as the boot struts are susceptible to that sort of thing. If you have an issue try tying the struts together with a rag or something.
besides that it shouldnt cause too much hassle. You could also try a small spacer if you have room above the grille.

They really vibrate when the boot is open, as soon as i close it, i hear nothing.
I was thinking of tying them together, using a spacer won't help as it will need to be around 1 inch high (that would be tooo high).
i will check again today.
Thanks

I was jsut looking at mine again ramy, Have ya tried just sticking a slice of cardboard with some electrical tape between them? it'll stop the magnet and bars rattleing together?
oh and it's not a hate 6x9 thing either... when i put in a weel recorded SQ CD and fade the rears in and out, it sounds a **** load better with no rears playing at all, i was amazed haha :P However, my rears are running off my deck, so they don't have the clarity my fronts are getting from my amp...

you running those of the deck . those are pretty good speakers, really very nice quality, and hard hitting bass, they really need an amp.
