Fitted slotted rotors to the front last week, easy as, works well.
Went to do the rears yesterday and the rotors had stickers on them, one had R and the other L, which i assume is right and left.
Never noticed stickers for the front.
What i have noticed is that the slots run at different angles between front and back, so.............should i swap the fronts over and get all the slots running the same way, or was maybe the reason the rears had R & L was something to do with the handbrake??

Brakes work great.

Is it just me or is there no pic?
*edit* argh there's the pic - sorry my bad

Also, once you have them on both correct, please let us know what you think. IMO they always look great, but I've wondered if they actualy make a difference to normal braking or it's really a track type item (to get the real benefit from them)?

Funny enough you said that puck, i want to ask the same question:P
im getting some twin pots off a V6 TS ABS and AFAIK they can bolt straight up to my current rotors. Ive been told the slotted's are excellent in braking, so im thinking i should get them so i dont have to pull the car apart later.

Its gonne set me Back Rougly $200 for a set of slotted Fronts

I am looking at betters brakes at the moment and I found this piece of information on this website, and I found it quite usefull

http://www.4wdworld.com.au/tipstricks/disc.htm

This question has to be asked of the driver, what is the main use of the vehicle?
Is the vehicle used for racing, or driven extremely hard?
Does the vehicle go off road?
If the answer is yes to either of these questions, slotted only discs should be recommended.
If the driver of the vehicle only drives on the street, but drives it hard occasionally, and has nice open wheels where the rotors would look good as well as perform, recommend the cross-drilled and slotted.

Not to sure of the price differences but I definitly prefer the look of cross drilled rotors

I've had slotted rotors on two magnas now (TP and TR) and they do make a difference, my old TP used to fade like a ***** but with the slotted rotors and better pads, it was a new car in the braking dept. You have to be careful with what you choose in cross-drilled and/or slotted rotors as some need to be 'warmed up' like race prep, just think of the amount of times you've taken your car somewhere and its still cold, only going down the street for example and had to stomp on the brakes for a granny/cat/batmobile.. now with those rotors that have to be warmed up, they would get stressed, maybe even crack... uh oh! however there are some that don't. I've heard that slotted and dimpled rotors are fantastic, the same benefits of drilled but without the weakness of having holes all the way through... check out some brands.. I had DBA on my TP and I now have RDA on my TR.

I have upgraded my breaks a few months ago with slotted RDA's front and rears and using the basic RDA pads. I couldn't believe how much better they were with stopping. I have no fading at all. They seem to break better when they get hot. Only thing is, on gentle breaking, they squeel a little, but im not really worried.
But yeah... the answer to your questions... wether it made a difference.. my answer... **** YEAH!!!

Thanks for that, the rear rotors that had a left/right sticker have the slots running the same way.
I've installed the fronts the wrong way round, doesn't seem to matter, but will swap them round this weekend.:D
