im buying a TF magna soon and i would like your help in some CHEAP mods that get ya goin, ive already figured POD intake and sports exhaust, also does any one know of any sites in australia where they sell GT wings, cheap aswell (only 1st year apprentice  ) got about 600-800 to spend
the mods need to be legal cos im pretty sure the wing (like this chaps in pic) will attract the lads in B L U E

not trying to be rude, but just a question, you want the wing for looks , or for down force? im pretty sure auto barn sells them or http://www.modyourcar.com.au , in my opinion they look rediculous and will always attract police attentions. Getting a GT wing is best left to jap inports inmo
Good luck

i dont know about other states but i been told here in Vic that exposed air filters with out a housing ( like pod filters) are illegal.... does the magna air housing enclose a pod or it just like all other cars with a box enclosure for a panel filter. (i still havent picked up my magna, will be tomorrow morning (this morning its like 1 am)) or is there a housing you can buy for a pod filter??
also in case you were thinkin about it... i believe that anything which inhibits the visibility of your external lighting/signalling systems (tinted lenses/taillights) or any any extra, non standard, external lighting (skirt lights/neons etc) is also illegal. Feel free to correct me if im wrong here, these are things ive been told/read over the last few months.
BTW are you on your P's? under 25? over 25? insurance can be a killer if you under 25 and the cops will hassle you constantly if you have an obviously modded/unroadworthy car if you on your P's... choose your mods wisely if you on P's/under 25.

Well if you are in WA new laws are in regarding PODs. I just got a K&N POD fitted at RPW in Osborne Park and when I asked they said yep its 100% legal. Its got a lot to do with the instalation of the pod.

Regarding the Wing, I had one on one of my old cars and was forced to take it off, It cost me $500 second hand so it wasnt cheap. If you are in perth try Works Auto in Bently or Malz <-- Not sure on spelling for that one. Malz are cheap and might be able to help you.

Those wings look awesome if you take out the stand bit and bolt them into the feet, that way they sit about 20mm from the boot nice and low looks good, don't mind the design just hate the height :) anywhay its upto you i can't complain i had one on me old car hehehe

the wing on that magna looks stupid, its like a t wing or something, i reckon what would look "ok" but only just is the d1gp style wings, with the legs right at each side of the boot, and like a max of 5-8cm high like this, http://www.technicasport.co.jp/image/wing_01.jpg

ok, old mate at auto barn says " POD's are illegal IF they are not in a box"....fire hazard..(what ever :doubt: ) as for GT wings in QLD...i have no idea about other states. they are legal IF they have NO sharp edges. and "Hoots" yes neons and all that stuff are illegal on the extrerior of your car, interior is ok just aslong as other drivers cant see it i.e. if u stick them on ure floor...
this is just going on what the guy at auto barn says.
and "bob_saget" (lol bob saget hahaha, "F**k salt!" ) http://www.technicasport.co.jp/image/wing_01.jpg that wing is NICE

Yeah that wing is nice bob. But I reakon that wing on the original post could look alright if the struts were right at the edges of the boot. The reason why GT wings are so high, for those peeps that don't know, is because for them to produce downforce they have to be in 'clean' air to work. The spoilers that are low down on the bootlid do just that. They spoil the air so that it doesn't remain attatched to the rear of the car. If it was to remain attatched then it would increase drag.

the wing might look good, but with a big phat P on your rear window and a 20cm high aftermarket wing on the rear = cop bait. expect to be pulled over for no reason at all when you in town/cbd (80% chance i reckon) every time
