As you might know, im going to do my electric window switches in gun metal grey, now just wondering where on the drivers side it says "window lock" does anyone know where I can get lettering to match it, so i can put it back on after painting it?

Letraset - small rub on letters - you get them from Art Supplies shops. Best to put them on before any clear coat.

:shock: awesome idea!! mine are all faded and the black is wearing down to the ugly brown coloured plastic.

Mine are already faded down to the brown.. that why the idea of painting it.

Edit: what font are they though?

probably just Ariel? anything sans serifs would be fine

Actually I think the lettering inside the 3rd gens is 'Helvetica' - just go to a good art supply shop with your switch panel - the sheets of letters come in different fonts and sizes as required.

Just mist on a coat or two of the clears first so the letters dont move, once its dry give her a good coat. Try a couple of spare letters on a piece of plastic to make sure alls well first.:D
Nothin worse than doin a shmick job only to watch the letters go walkies on ya at the end.:shock: :cry: :D
