Just spoke to a place about springs and he reckons that you cant get superlows for the rear, only regular lowered (for a TH sedan). I was sure some of guys had 'em??? Is he right?

i think they stopped making them now yes....lovells etc make 60mm all round though dont they?

Candarin

apparently they have yeah.. i dont know if they used to or not tho. He said they dont have them because they would be too low and you would have to replace the shocks to use them. So I doubt lovells would sell the full 60mm lowered either.. or if they do they will hit (that would be why kings stopped making em perhaps)

This is really gay.. With superlows on the front and just lows on the back it will look cheesy as...

You guys know any good places to get lovells in vic :)

How low are the standard king lows btw? will it look stupid with superlows on the front and just lows on the back?

You reckon? I thought it would be a neet match as the front's have a larger gap than the rears. :?

Lovells, Aurora, AC Delco are alternatives to King Springs.

Im not sure if whiteline make their springs or if they use Kings, if they make their own, there's another alternative.

Your probably right. I'd like to see a pic if anyone has that combination tho.

I have 'lows' on my TS Magna.
Wish I'd gone for 'super-lows' on the front. Although the car sits nicely when you look at the body it still seems to be higher in the front. this is sort of an optical illusion because it's not higher in the front realy. It's just that the guard-to-tyre gap in the front is (and was originally) bigger than the rear guard-to-tyre gap.

Anyone have pictures of a Magna with 'low' in the rear and 'super-low' on the front? If so, please post for us.

I hate looking at pics of hot 3rd gen magna's!!!! makes me want to go and get one myself!!!
When i got my car lowered i used king springs. they heat treated them to the height i wanted which was 2 1/2 front and 2 1/4 rear

Thanks for those pics guys.

Bain: Your car is what inspired me to get mine lowered straight away.. looks sick. I thought yours were superlows all round but they apparently are not so woohoo! i'll be placing my order tomorrow for sure.

Meh: Thanks as well mate. What colour is your car btw? its hard to tell what colour the dark magna's are sometimes.

Method1: Are your wheels the performance tempests? (or the roh adrenalins.. nearly the same) thats what I was gonna get for my car! and i was thinking i was original... :(

my question is with 18" rims is it gonna rub with kings super lows on the front and lows on the rear?

of course not..

Your outter radius doesnt change bud :)

Only the mag (inner radius of the rubber and mag) will change...

To all those who posted pics - "Thanks guys!" :)
(what about TR/TS owners?)

Bain, God I love that colour! Wish I could afford a 3rd gen.

Booya, That's low!

So now I have a dilema. If I want the front lower, do I replace with a set of 'superlows' or get my 'lows' modified/heat treated/compressed or whatever it is that they do. Also is this legal? 8)

so megatron....
the first pics were compressed supers, but the last ones were just regular superlows right? (just clarifying)
and dont your mudflaps scrape (speedhumps, etc)? esp the front ones?

megatron
05-11-2003, 08:36 AM
everything under the car scraped with the comp[ressed spring just not hte wheels

yeah i cut hte about an 1" off the bottom mudlaps (front and rear) so they would not scrape

but they still did alittle, it was impossible to get over a speed bump with more than 2 ppl in the car, even just by myself it still scrape the shit out of the car

that is why i got it rised a little

now the car if find and i can get over speed bumps and stuff prett7y easy

when i was in sydeny with the compressed springs i got struck in the carprak when leaving the exit was to tight to go sideways

lucky i had friends in the car ot help lift it a little to get over
