Yeh mate there is a file located in c:\documents and settings\your username\application data\microsoft\address book - back this up then you can import it back into outlook express after the format. Make sure you turn on view hidden files tho or you wont be able to find it :D

Ol' Fart we all know how stubborn you are, but don't revert to windows 98 for any reason.

Get a computer nerd mate to get you a copy of windows xp with service pack 2 and it will run just fine, if you don't have one of those I'm sure someone from here could post you a copy.

Ive got XP sp2, Ive got copies of just about every damn thing including some stuff that didnt get released. I just prefer 98se. :)

I have heaps of issues with XP and microsoft themselves couldnt resolve them. I dont like the way it does a lot of things and it doesnt like some of my older software that I like to use.
If you get up to the kinda **** I do on computers you'll find a lot of shortcomings with XP.

Dont tell anyone but I've been playing with computies since the beginning when bill gates was just a nerd.lol I just dont bother keeping up anymore, I miss dos lol

You would most likely have more trouble with win98.

Just go back to windows 2000. Or load windows xp with SP1. Not SP2. Service pack 2 sucks monkey balls.

What kind of problems do you have with windows xp? Maybe you have faulty memory that causes your system to run unstable.

I dont have any stability problems with 98SE, ya just have to set it up the right way.

I had a long discussion with Msoft about XP and they agreed that It could not do what I needed. Didnt offer a refund but. :D

I aint stubborn......I'm just too lazy to change lol

I have UBUNTU, I was thinking about playing with it between getting rid of XP and loadin 98SE. Would you like a free copy.:D

A real man needs not XP. A real man uses a server OS.

I would have thought XP would be easier to fix/repair when it goes bum than any version of 98.

Its not so much a case of it going bum as a number of things it does just to piss me off.

Its fine for what it does and allows to be done, it just doesnt meet my requirements. Msoft tacitly agreed with me but would neva openly admit anything. :)

I set up 98SE my own way and have no stability or other problems with it.:)
