View Full Version : New high end Hertz 'Mille' components arrive in Australia.
Just though I would post this infomation up here as there have been a few people asking about them.
Arguably the ultimate in high end audio component sets, Hertz new 'Mille' component speakers have arrived on our shores. The Hertz Mille speakers are designed to set higher quality standards of musical reproduction in cars, with audio enthusiasts raving about the quality of these components throughout Europe and America.

The new Mille splits are aimed at complimenting the top end market (think MB Quart, DLS, Scan, Boston, Diamond, Rainbow and Focal territory). Retail pricing is set at $1,986 for the two way system and $2,966 for the three way system which uses a ribbon midrange.

Like most speakers of this nature, all models come in a brief case type presentation and consist of matched components for the finest possible sound. Released at the worlds largest dedicated car audio show in Germany last month the speakers were a true show stopper. FHRX, can we get some reviews on some slightly lower Spec Splits, like Under the $500 price Bracket, I mean we have a lot of members who Crave the Elite but can only afford the Budget entry models from Brands like Hertz,VIBE,Boston and Focal..
Certainly but people must email me for reviews. Due to forum rules I am not allowed to post things connected to Fhrx Studios. Seeing as we test the speakers under the company banner, I suspect posting my reviews would break the rules.:(

I've been wondering about these high-end speaker systems, are they really justifiable? I mean, almost three grand is alot for just a pair of speakers.

Is sound is important to you, and you have the $$$ (or are going to win powerball this week), then yes.
If you slave your guts away for 50-60 hours a week on minimum wage, then no.
The best speaker for you is the speaker you most like the sound of that you can afford.
(that's gunna be quoted in someone's sig within 24 hours...)

Its Like Buying a Mercedes Just so you can have the Lovely Tri Star Bonnet centre piece

If I was spending that much on speakers, I'd be basing it on sound quality alone. Nothing else would come into my calculatiion (yes, I know what I said in the other thread).
The fact that these are dead sexy looking pieces of audio heaven doesn't hurt at all. All the better to make an awesome looking install with. Show 'em off I say (with removable grilles so you can hide them from those who should have all their fingers cut off)
***gotta remember to get a powerball ticket ***

Like the guys have already said; it depends how into your sound you are and if you're willing to save your guts out for ages. If you want pure, smooth and accurate sound you tend to spend a lot (my last set of splits retail at nearly $10k).
If you just want something that makes noise and breaks the road noise up a little then they probably aren't for you. ;)

I could not agree more magnat yet sadly many people do.
It's all about ignoring the salesmen and auditioning. This is why we always invite people down to listen to our cars. I constantly tell me people "don't take my word for it; audition, audition, audition!" :D

Well trust me when I say, once I get the money (and the verada) I'll be coming up for a very expensive trip to your shop :D

Can we possibly change that to "very fulfilling trip to your shop" perchance?;)

I made another trip down to see him, he let me auidition subs for over 2 hours and I didn't even buy anything ( I was picking my G5 up from an "accident" ) and he didn't complain once... even though I farted in his Silvia and didn't tell him  :bowrofl:

Seriously dude it is very much worth it. Have seen other shops installs that are as neat but none same as good with the same car and equipement because most other shops dont have a clue.
I know a guy that got Focal K2 splits front and back, 2 Alpine type S subs 12inch, 2 kenwood amps, and a Alpine MRD-506 or whatever the new smallish mono block is. He got it all in from a shop in penrith it was so neat and very steath but no time had been put toward accurate staging or tuning. I told him to sit in mine ( Boston 6inch splits, Boston G5 12inch, 2Audison amps ) and he almost cried because his sounded so crap compared to mine. Good example of great gear with poor installation. :D
