Hello AMC'rs

ive come to the time where i have spent so much money on the car, i thought, why stop now.

Now i have read just about every thread there is relating to a CAI, weather it works or not, how good it is, yada yada yada.

now, if i may take GoTRICE's CAi for example, he has an 80mm (90-100mm maybe?) pipe running from his airbox, around the battery, and down to the bumper, taking up the space of the Washer bottle.

Now what i am pondering over is, Is it more wise to use lets say 2 lenghts of 50mm pipe, so i can retain the stock washer bottle? 1 around where GoTRICE's has his, and another on the other side of the airbox?

Or am i doomed into the 1 pipe/no more washer bottle CAI?
it doesnt worry me TOO much but i WOULD like to keep the washer bottle there....something tells me i shouldnt be rippping it out...

anyway, does anyone have any advice onto weather or not this idea will work?
i hope i explained it correctly, if you want i will draw up my idea or something er other.


and umm.....80mm enough, or 100mm better?

a 90mm pipe would have a bigger area than 2 50mm wouldn't it

(3.14 * (25^2))*2=3925sqmm

(3.14* (45^2)= 6358sqmm

I managed to just fit an 80mm pipe on the side of the airbox, still have to bottom half of the airbox that has the hole in it if you wanna check it out. Except i only used duct tape to hold it in place and eventually the duct tape was worn off and the CAI useless. Using a flange or something would work better.

so 80mm is the go then? i might pick some up from work this week and try to get started on one.

do i have to block off the tubes going to and from the washer bottle?

nar no need to block teh tubes.

i actually miss my washer bottle lol, if anyone comes up with a design so u can keep it PLEASE SHARE!!! :D

well doesnt matter, i went out and got some 80mm pipe before....

ah well, yeah any more ideas please post:D
