Ever since i hit a curb really hard, i have noticed a knocking sound at the front right. The knocking sound comes when i accelerate quickly and then when i back off.

The harder i boot it, the louder the noise  Could it be a broken engine mount ?

i have this... mine came from my passenger side wheel

the other week i snapped a driveshaft, so i had to get a new one also had to get a another hub (where the wheel bearing sit)... ever since then it's not as bad, but you can hear it sometimes...

my guess was that was something to do with the CV and wheel bearings...

as for engine mounts... well, my motor moves quiet a lot, but mounts seem ok. if you wanna know if it's a broken mount, have someone to get in the drivers seat and hold the brakes on tight, then try make the car go forward and then ease off... the idea is to make the motor move... you'll soon see a broken mount... usually the rubber seperates from the metal so it's very loose. the hardest one to see is the roll stop on the side of the motor closest to the firewall.

i would say the inner cv is knackered

inners make noise going straight accelerating or backing off

the outers make noise when turning

Im pretty sure this is for rwd's only though....

Yeah it probably is the CV because when i rev it with the clutch down, the noise isnt there.

Sounds more like a CV but you could have done some front suspension damage also. If you establish it isnt the CV, get underneath and inspect all the suspension mountings and bushes.

Nah, it works for Magnas too :)
Basically if the motor has more rock than normal it is an engine mount.
