Dont suppose there are any made specifically for magna but would any other fit on or do they need to be specifcally made for the certain type of car.

I've been looking into these too mate, I can't find sh*t! haha. But i think if you found the right deign, it's be an awsome mod.
I'm sure you can prob jsut mod some bmw ones on, i've seen it done to a commodore before.

Then you would have to fill and repaint your doors.

went to super cheap wit chantra 2 day and we were talkin bout the same thing. sum sum really nice mirros which u can mount where ur stock one is but will be pointing up in an angle but would still look pretty good

Yeah it sux how the Magna mirrors come off the door :( i don't understand why its designed like this because there is suffuciant size in the triangle to still fit some.
It's also harder to remove them and replace ect having to take off the doorcard...

you can buy the Chrome M3 mirrors for like $120 on ebay, universal fit but you would have to bog n paint the front doors!

just have them in an angle. that would look kool and different

okay this mirror thing i have explored and took the little plate thing from the corner of the window and sent to to taiwan to get base plates made ( i work in an aftermarket parts and panel shop) and unfortunately they can't seem to make them up yet but i will see how i go with annoying them, the biggest concern is the money to manufacture is huge and they seem to think the intrest will not be there as there is a lot of work to carry out, however we have f1 style mirrors due in in the next 4 weeks that are door mount and look promising will post any progress when i see them

well for a start the reason the mirrors are where they are is because the cars been designed for wind to pass over the windows and push them against the body to seal better. Putting mirrors how the m3 ones are etc will probably reduce sealing of the windows at high speeds.

The other reason is that its more aerodynamic. Its based on flag-on-a-pole design. Just
look at the porsche mirrors.

And all this time i thought they were just there to make an annoying whistle as the wind blows between them an the door at anything over 80ks

As you can see the Monaro mirrors are on the door as well.. A mate of mine has M3 style mirrors on his Monaro.. DMD - The Image did them.. I'll give them a call and see what they say about the magna and let you guys know!

All mirrors are on doors, but i think we mean on the actual panel not the triangle bit thats part of the window kinda, that monaro doesn't have them like how the Magna does.

you'll also find that Supra's and series 6+ RX7's have them on the door also. if you can find something that fits them, you might be in luck

All models except the base exec have colour coded mirrors. Execs have them as options.

You know what mirrors look schmick... the old vectra models mirrors they are some sexy looking rear view mirrors cant be bothered looking for a pic but if you can its worth the look.
