anyone with a ralliart wit the CD5441, I was reading in the owners manual
about using the EQ function. it says "after pressing the [FUNC] tap button 2 for less than 1 secon to switch equalizer modes. but nothin seems to happen when i do this.

and the same goes from DPS press [FUNC] then tap [1], and again nothing happens.

am i doing something wrong. or do i need to get something that plugs into the cd player.

ok a read more into it and seems i need a optional DSP/EQ unit or Digital Sound Processor, are these lots of $$$ and are they worth it

They're very rare here but you can find them on US Ebay for a couple of hundred $$. Search for Eclipse 2301 - I think that's the model number - its in the diagrams in the back of your manual so check there first.

Also look at the Eclipse 39011 DSP if you want Dolby 5.1 \ Prologic , these pop up on Ebay from time-to-time.

Only available in the USA (Eclipse never realeased their DSP's in Australia for some reason).
