well depends what you're talking about? undercar? used as lights in car? to lit up the floor? boot? behind dash?

two places told me that LEDs are more durable and brighter than neons... more durable = longer life span??? haha thats what ive heard mate :)

yeah neons will break...but i find LED's are way more durable!....personal opinion i would never use neons...

Cold Cathode, Brighter then both of them and longer lasting :D
Not sure if they come in undercar sets tho they do for interior use...
Also try bunnings for ropelight, its a flexible clear rope lined with LEDS inside (colour choices avail), it its 12V and i used it in my older car, bends and is very durable.
$8 a meter i think...

that sounds like a great idea!
cittris ended up with CCFL's in the inside anyway, since im cheap, im using the prehistroic neon tubes, although if i had the dosh id use CCFL's aswell

Get LED's. Use alot less power and will last alot longer. They are much brighter and more durable...
