Has anyone replaced the Transmission Control Unit (TCU). I have a TS V6 auto and have heard that TCU can have components that leak and a visual inspection can be done. Where is it located? Has anyone replaced their TCU? Where did you get it? price? Did it improve shifting?

It is under the console, under the heater, if it don't broke, don't fix it.

i replaced my tcu 6 months ago, biggest pain in the ass yet, they are expensive from recolection 100 dollar deposit and another 450 with trading in my old one, i wasnt even going to bother getting quoted a genuine tcu.

water entry into the tcu almost made the magna undrivable, jumping in and out of overdrive, taking off in 3rd and smashing back into 1st wen coming to a stop

i wouldnt bother spending that much money on it if it didnt need fixing
