For those of you about to purchase XFORCE extractors... HOLD off until late April early May, until the new stock arrives. They are redesigning them to a better design.

The reason why i know this is the guy who designed the AWD extractors for XFORCE using my car for 2 days last week wasn't impressed with the extractors they hade made for FWD models. So while he had my car they recalculated sizes for piping diameter and lengths and will now produce the improved design for both FWD + AWD models.

I will be doing before and after dyno test for the new extractors to see differences made by the system at the request/cost of XFORCE.

Cheers

I personally wouldn't go for them as is.

The primaries are short and they aren't as tuned as other designs (their back bank goes straight into the 2>1 with no 'U' bend like in the stock or other designs to acheive the same length). To be honest it is a pretty **** design and hopefully the new ones will be better. This alone was enough for me to discount them when I was doing my research.

Positives are they're stainless and look decent quality (although would you want to spent the extra for stainless???)

I'd stick to Pacemaker or RPW Race coz I can see these things will be hyper expensive

Hmm, Tell me whats wrong in improving a prduct. You have to give them credit for the ongoing development of some magna mods, not just sticking to a one off design without a care and sitting back.

Have pacemakers designed anything for the AWD model????

I did not get to see what changes they had made to the design because xforce had already picked up the fabricated set to send of to be manufactured as soon as they were ready. I know for sure the pipes are a larger diameter as that was the major complaint from the guy who fabricated the new ones compared to the old.

" with no 'U' bend like in the stock or other designs to acheive the same length" this may have been changed aswell on the new design.

I have no idea of costs, but contact best mufflers and ask for Chris, he runs the place and is the one who designed the new set, I'm sure he would get pretty good pricing from xforce.

Thats fine, RPW originally started off with one design for the 3.0L, then improved on that and now they market 3 sets of extractors.
RPW 3 - 1 Street Design Extractors Street Design Series inc Flex pipe 3.0 / 3.5 N/A mods only – Long tube Header 1 ½” primary Pipes. Requires mods to adapt to Cat Converter
RPW 3 - 1 Street Design Extractors RPW Street Design Series inc Flex pipe bolt on up to cat converter. Shortie Header design 1 5/8” primary pipes bolt direct to cat converter
RPW 3 - 1 Race Design Extractors $600.00 RPW Race Design Series inc Flex pipe bolt direct to cat converter

It will be interesting to see what the outcome is once they have been manufactured.

Cheers..

I have pacemakers on my big horsepower NA engine and see no reason in changing them for maybe 2-3kws if im lucky. Each to there own but ive had no issues with the pacies.
cheers people :)

RPW has had AWD extractors out for a while. They are a variation of our Race design, modifeid to suit the AWD gearbox setup.

Same price as our race design units

David, Did you manage to keep both secondaries to a tuned length as there isn't much room ath the rear of the block in between the gearbox/transfer case.

Sorry was unaware of you having a set for the AWD. Its not clear from your price list if the extractors listed were applicable to suit this vehicle

Thanks.

No unfortunatly we weren't able to keep both banks exactly identical, the rear bank is approx 1" shorter on the primary lengths compared to the front bank because of the location of the rear section coming out of the gearbox.

It was a case of you could probably do it, but there were starting to become lots of bends, and pricing of manafacturing of it was going to become way too high too make them marketable.

They are still going to be a massive improvement over the stock system without a doubt, still mandrel bent bolt on system. To be honest though, with the low number of AWD models being modified, its just not financially justifiable for us at this time to spend the money redesigning them further. The slight variation in lengths in the overall scheme of things, is not going to make a huge difference, especially when you consider they are still running two different profiles on the camshafts between front and rear bank of around 10 degrees valve overlap.

If a 380 is released as an AWD, with the slightly taller engine block they have and larger engine bay, we would put a lot more time into development of them.

The xforce for AWD model are completely new design. the FWD model is suppose to be getting larger diameter piping. Cat is seperately purchased from the extractors.
