hey guys
I am a memeber of RACV and hence get their monthly magazine. Last month they compared 2 cars -
BA Falcon
Ford Fiesta
and made them use premium unleaded and regular unleaded.
The fiesta achived better fuel economy beacuse it had knock sensors while the falcon did not.
But amazing thing was that both cars achieved better fuel econmy using 95 RON .
98RON improved fuel economy when compared to 91 RON, but the cars had better fuel economy when thay had used 95RON.
They used BP fuels. I lost the magazine otherwise i would have given the figures. I think they also tested Mobil .
Wonder why both perfomed better when using 95RON
