they look like 14's!!!

wow, so in other words to make this car look decent you will need $4000 for rims

yeh i thought the TW VRX's were overtyred, with 225/50/R17's, but iirc the 380 VRX is even worse with 225/55/R17!! or is it 60? Whatever it is its bad.

Needs 19's at least I would say.

Looks like I'm out on a limb, I like them on that car and in general - Then again I've never been a fan of windmills, ruin your gearing and make you ride harsh :( They're what I'd like to get for my car if I had any dosh, Lite 7's, if you ever pick them up they are a few kilos lighter than most other 17's and for proper 3 piece 17's of similar weight your looking at a few grand.

Solution;
increase the diameter and dump the back

There nice rims, but 17's are too small.

Funny you should say that - I was just looking at TJII VRX wheels on the weekend and thinking how bloody small they look.

It'll be a sad day when 18's look small :cry:

The dumping I agree with, but you'd never be able to get those rims in that size, let alone for a car that weighs 1600, they just wouldn't be strong enough.

I saw one on 21's and they looked like 18's on a commodore, just one size too small. 22's should look good.

Also bear in mind that rims which have spokes that do not reach to the edge of the rim look smaller due to an optical illusion. If you put 17's on the 380 which have spokes that go all the way to the edge of the rim - it will look slightly bigger.

i'm pretty sure the VE SS is coming out with standard 18's, optional 19's! all base models VE's will have 16" stockies!! at least the cost of larger tyres should drop!

good point! which is probably why they should have stuck with the standard rims, or at least upgraded to some 18/19's (which are still legal on a VRX!)

yeah i saw the standard 17s on an LS and they looked pretty small

being able to fit big rims is a selling point though, look at the 300C, people love the fact you can fit 24s on

Imo, 17's are too small for a Lancer let alone a 380. Even 18's are going to look too small with those large side panels. I'ld go 19's minimum on any 'large' car, 20's if the budget would allow. :badgrin:
