Ok, my cousin owns a TE Executive and lives in sydney. Anyhow long story short he parks it on the street and the aerial has been snapped twice. The first time we just did a half assed repair job, but this time its gone.

And considering that my cousin is a complete n00b when it comes to cars i get the job of replacing it.

Anyhow ive got a few q's cause i haent had a good look at the job yet.

Is it easy and cheap to wire up an elec aerial (out of an altera or verada) using either new mitsu stuff or stuff from the wreakers; or should i just go stuff it and put another basic manual jobbie from mitsu.

And secondly this magna is starting to chew up a bit of oil, which has got me a bit worried, because it is a well maintained 3.0l (oil changed ever 8k or so) which is running relatively well and only has 160k on it. I really want to try to sought this one out, because my n00b cousin has the habit of driving cars which really should be driven (he drove an EA falcon for 45 minutes with no coolant in it, with expected results). It doesnt seem to be leaking around any of the main seals, so its got me a bit stumped.

oil I dont know about,
But you can get a after market electric antenna. piss easy to install. connect up the power wire to the boot light or drag it all the way to the head unit and the blue cable goes into the auto ant wire.

Simple peasy
