I have a TJ 2001 sports and I recently removed my battery for about 10mins to reset my ecu as I was having stalling issues. The car is now running perfectly now but after 2 tanks of fuel my little computer display hasnt reset itself yet! it just keeps displaying the number "5"

How long should I have to wait for the normal readings to come back like distance to empty and average fuel consumption etc etc???

I'll try to contain my laughter lol

The computer is actually waiting for you to configure some basic parameters. The 5 is actually an 'S' meaning 'Sedan'. If you press the Mode button quickly, it will flicker to 'W' for Wagon.

Once you've picked what type of body you have, hold down on the Mode key until it beeps and shows the next set of parameters, basically asking you the capacity of your engine. It should show either a 3.0 or a 3.5. Choose your engine, and hold down the Mode button again until it locks in.

Good luck :)

I have a similar question.

I set the headlight off time delay for about a minute in my KH and it keeps going back to the normal 10 seconds evry now and then for no reason. Doesnt want to keep my setting.

Anyone else had this issue? Not a big prob but just a pain in the ass.

Is there any way to change the door unlocking thing so one button press opens all 4 doors like you can do on commodores? Worst thing about Magna's - keyless entry sucks, especially THE BOOT

Just press the button twice and it unlocks all of them. You can't seriously be complaining about pressing the button twice instead of once...

If you can program the BA central locking to 1 or 2 keypresses then you should beable to do the magna aswell.

Ring up a mitsu dealership, im sure their service centre will help you out.. If not, ring Mitsu Customer Service.

I assure you they didnt do it just to piss you off... haha

Its a safety thing.
If your going to your car late at night by your self no one can jump in the other side as you get in the car.

And as for the boot again. safety. you need to push it twice as if you acidentally pushed it once and the boot poped open you may not realise till you started driving and it flew open.
You cant open the boot with the remote when the keys in the ignition for the same reason

All you do with the head light delay is once you have turned your car and lights off, you give your hi-beam leaver a quick flick without actually clicking it into hi-beam. They will stay on for default 10 seconds i think it is.

To get it to say on longer, once you turn your car and lights off again, hold your hi beam leaver in for as long as you want them to stay on so you have to time it yourself. Once you let go after say 1 minute, it stores it for you.
