hey everyone got my car serviced and im told its got a crack in the inlet pipe to my front muffler and needs fixing.
The options are 60ish buks for a weld or 180ish for a replacement one. i was wondering if i should just get it welded/replaced or if anyone would recommend anything else and if so would you have any idea how much this would cost.

$60 for just a weld is abit steep? Unless thats replacing the pipe as well?

You might wanna think about just eliminating it if its legal. Just buy a 2ft length of pipe, then ask an exhaust shop to weld it in place. Cheap and will get you a better sound.

thanks for that ill see if i can just get it taken out if it is legal. is there any aftermarket exhausts that replace both the front and rear muffler or go in its place for like 300-400 buks . I thought instead of spending money on to get it fix i could put an aftermarket one on that might make it sound a bit better. is this a good idea??
excuse me if i sound stupid... i'm no mechanic so didnt even know there was a front and rear muffler.
