Some low life decided that they needed my VRX badge more than I do, so they screwdrivered it off, leaving three scratches back to metal and a dent. To save themselves $17.40, they will cost me ~$200 in touchups and replacement.
Does anyone have a photograph of a TL VRX badge that they can post? I just want to check it against the replacement I got from Mitsubishi.
Thanks
PS. It happened on the rooftop carpark at Westfield Doncaster.
Gimme about half an hour, and I'll get one posted up for you. Yours is a TL yes?
Edit: Here is the photo, mine is a Limited Edition, however you get the general idea.

dude, just clean that area up and don't worry about putting a badge back on, the rear end looks much cleaner on a tl with no badges.

What is it with people damagin cars lately, someone flogged the mitsubishi symbol off my nose cone on the TJ bonnet and it looks stupid without it, got it replaced for $10 but thats not the point
Best idea to just get it fixed mate and don't worry about badging then none can steal it again :D

Thanks for the picture Andrew, I'll check it against the one I bought.
I was going to clean up the marks and then place the badge back over the less than perfect result, but I managed to sand through the clear coar in a couple of places, so now I have to get it professionally seen to.
I'm aware of the thickness (or thin-ness in this case) of the clear coat, so I was using 1200 and 1500 wet and dry to flatten the touchups I made, and then finish with polishing cream, but I went a little too far in a couple of places. I'm kicking myself.
I'll have a think about leaving the badge off.
As much as I love my Magna (in an automotive appreciation kind of way), I can't see any collectablility in Magna badges, so I'm stumped as to why anyone would be stupid enough to vandalise a car to get one.
