hey everyone

i have this really weird problem

whenever i go around a corner too fast in second gear (about 3000-4500 rpm), my car will start stalling

this only ever happens when i am getting quite a bit of wheel spin, and only around corners !

btw i have a 3L 24 valve motor if anyone was wandering with a 5sp transmission

anyone know what this could be a problem with ?

fuel pump maybe ?

all replies r appreciated

As the pump is in the tank on your car have it removed and check the "sock" is still attached.
Is this happening on a full tank as well or only on a low tank.

well, my fuel guage says i got just over a quarter of a tank, but i dont know how reliable that is, because i cant get many kilometers out of the bottom quarter of my fuel tank, compared to the other three

Mine has done this at a quarter of a tank full. I'm sure it's fuel starvation.

yeah, its fuel stavation... you gotta feed you're car a little more..... make its diet a little more regular!!! (my car gets the same problem!)

Fuel starvation for sure. The permanent solution is a surge tank, but I dont think they're cheap.

i gots the same problem, fill the tank!

Otherwise surge tank,

It's not that expensive, but you do need to get an EFI pump, (that's the expensive part)

it generally only happens when turning to the right,

yeah it happened when i was giving it quite a bit around a right hand corner......

anyone know why this happens?

doesn't fuel get transported effectivly from the fuel tank to the injectors at a quarter tank or something ?

would raising the fuel pressure (with a fuel pressure regulator) help at all ?

i was thinking of buying one of those fuel pressure regulator things anyway, but yeah, also wouldnt this mean that our cars are running very lean ? i heard it is very bad to "lean out" the engine , i heard its better to run rich ....

all replies are appreciated

it doesnt mean the car is running lean, all it is, is when the car leans over the fuel splashes around and doesnt get into the fuel line....hence the cutting out. i dont think a fuel preassure regulator would help, just try keep your tank above a quarter always, u'd probly wanna do that anyway so u dont get all the shit that builds up in yur tank over time into your injectors, causing them to block up and make you car run like a POS.

My car dose something the same. whenever im going up a hill and i have to stop at the top it will stall, i loose my power steer and i almost run into things (haha). oh well. last time it happend i got my fuel injection cleaned out and it fixed the problem for about 3 months. then i changed my gear box oil and motor oil and it fixed it for about 8 months. it has only just started again.

hey everyone

i think i might fill up a tank with premium, and maybe some of that injector cleaning stuff and see how it goes,

maybe a fuel pressure regulator later on when i got some extractors or a pod or something
