Under the hood there is a sticker that tells you what your car should be idling at.

From memory its 700rpm.

Mine idles at 400-500 rpm, TJ II Exec tho and its all good :)

Yeah 400rpm is very low. My car once dropped to 450 (only momentarily) and nearly stalled.

Ideally 700rpm is right. But mine has just been "reset" and can't hold more than roughly 600rpm (And I mean rough :lol:)

yeah i think the sticker says anywhere from 700 to 900 is ok . I don't know how some of you guys are idling at 400rpm, sounds really low ay, must get good fuel economy though lol
