looking for some advice from guys that have put alpine HU in 3rd gens.
i've got my cda-9855 in, but it seems to sit 2 far back into the dash and the black surround of the HU won't go on. i tried to move the HU forward but there is no holes to attach the brackets.
what have you guys done, new holes in the brackets or am i missing something?
Cheers
Tim

customise it a bit its the only way, there no holes that fit exact for any headunits iv had in a magna
The surround is for European cars that have cradle mounts. Japanese cars such as Magna's don't use the surround because they're chassis mounts. ;)

My panasonic fit PERFICTLY in the dash, and also my pioneer 6x9's fit PERFECTLY into my parcel shelf, the screw holes lined up with 0 overlapping and the cover went on without any hassles. I'm just waiting for my 6" speakers to not fit hehehe.
But anyway, new holes is your best bet. Worst case scenario you f$%K up and buy a new mounting bracket, they couldn't cost more than a couple of $$
