Is there an "easy" way to change bulbs in the climate control? I had a stuff around at a wreckers yesterday, and couldn't figure out how to get the climate control out (yes, did have the whole console disassembled, all front screws out, etc).
Do you really have to completely disconnect it all to get it out just to change a bulb? Or can you replace them without disassembly somehow?

Also, anyone know what type of bulbs I am likely to find? eg, the V-2 type, like in the clock and demister etc., T5 like the instrument cluster, or (doubtful) T10?

The bulb is exactlythe same as the ones in the clock and ur lil light in the ash tray, i have changed all my ineria lighting to blue LED's accept the heater control bulb coz i cant get to the damn thing, i was surprised to find that it is just one bulb at the back of it and the light travels through a refractive plastic but if you have auto climate it may be diff altogether.

So the entire standard climate-control bit (heater/air-con/fan etc) is just one light, and bloody difficult to get to?

The climate control is very different to the heater controls in Magna's

If you ahve a verada or elite with climate control, the lighting is NOT anywhere near the same, be VERY careful when you dismantle it and if you bugger it up I do have a spare here

Sorry, seems I've confused the issue; I have a standard magna, with the standard heater etc controls (see attached), I was calling it climate control for want of a better description.

So, how does one change the lights in a stock-standard heater/aircon cluster assembly? The rest of the console is no worries, just this bastard.

yep thats standard heater control thingy that i got, as i said 1 bulb smack bang in the top middle of the heater control where red n blue are equal. buggered if i no how to get to it, the only reason i no it is there is coz i went to pick apart and juz ripped the whole thing out very forceaby!

i wanted to replace mine with a blue one but the amount of effort it looks like it takes getting to it, i juz cant be bothered.
