that is the sub i have above currtenly runing at 4 ohms rated @ 300WRMS powerd by a jaycar response amp 2 x 150WRMS bridge at 400-450WRMS in a 45L seal box
but it doesn't sound any good i had a 12" JLW0 which sound better than W3 but it was in another car
i want low bass and more volume, currently it sounds more like an 10" sub than a 12", my new fronts are over powering the sub
i also have 2 pioneers bottom end subs in a seal box which are rated 150W each, these 2 subs sound a little louder but not as clear and start to distort to early
can anyone help, i don't no what the hells going on, i want the 12"JLW3 to crank
and does anyone no how to set the clock on a pioneer HD unit

If you're after SPL then port for sure.
Sealed is generally used just for SQ and middle/lower range systems.
(Like mine lol)

i personally don't like ported boxes
i like the sound of a seal box alot more
but thanks

if you want clarity aswell as deep bass, just spend $2000 on subs alone... :D
what!? i'm not crazy!

i dont like the idea of putting added pressure on my subs esp when putting 1000wrms into them through a sealed boxes...
good way to blow the rubber surrounds is to have an incorrect designed box with a little too much power...
ported boxes sound alot nicer if designed and made properly
thoughts on why u'r sub not sounding loud could be... is the deck set up properly.... is the bass boost on the amp turned up and the gain enough....
if they ok then i'd be looking at a better amp to run it...
something with more balls
that response amp might be rated at 450w is that actual amp power or actual output power but it is nowhere near efficient.... those thing run pretty hot and have a really cheap heatsink they probably only like 35-40% efficient or something...
is that sub dvc? if it is buy a nice monoblock if it only svc buy another sub and a nice monoblock =]

All JLw3v2 are DVC.. which one do you have the D2 or D4? and if you have the D4 you should make sure you havent wired the coils in series to deliver a single 8 ohm load  . Other than that the box may be incorrectly made. Dude the JL12w3v2 crank when put in a sealed box dont you worry.. heard one running off a 500/1 ( D2 to make a 4 ohm load ) and  was sweet as.

it sounds like it's the box, have you tried moving the sub around? ie facing it backwards or forwards?

and does anyone no how to set the clock on a pioneer HD unit
What model Pioneer HU is it?
The steps below work with most Pioneer HU:
* Turn the ignition to ACC.
*If the HU turns on, press and hold the "Source" button until it turns off.
*Once off, press and hold the "Function" button, this will start the unit in settings mode. The clock is the first setting to appear.
*Use the arrow buttons to change the time. Press "Function" to cycle through all the other options.
*Press any other button on the HU to exit settings mode.
*Press "Source" once to turn the unit back on.
