If it were me, i would get 18's. But of course it will look good either way (just can't justify the extra cost, especially in tyres, of 19s) :)

Hey tim-E

i would normally be the same, and wouldnt be able to justify the extra money for an extra inch of rim... but this is my situation...

im going to trade in my 17s and the dealer is going to give me $1000 for them.... I KNOW THATS HEAPS HUH?

and this is what the cost of the rims will be:

18s with tyres: $1950 - $1000 trade in = $950
19s with tyres: $2200 - $1000 trade in = $1200

so in my situation it would be a far more intelligent choice to go for 19s becuase its really only costing me another $250 so i cant afford to not get 19s.... you see?
i have to go for 19s cause its only $250 more, i cant pass that up.

he has the same kit as me, the Sports Wagon/Ground Effects kit. available from Mistubishi dealers for around the $700 mark (front lip, 2x side skirts, 2x rear pods, 4x wheel arche flares)

figure in about $700 for painting and fitting also. definately cheapest and easiest way to fatten out the magna a bit

fair enough, thats a pretty good deal! Just remember though that tyres will cost more when it comes time to replace the 19 inch rubber (which will probably be more often that you would like).
But still, thats a hard offer to refuse (the 19's) :)

Which tyres are coming with the wheels & what are their load rating?

Yeah, I agree. You really need to consider what tyres you're getting with them. A lot of guys spend a fortune having their cars lowered, fit coilovers, sway-bars and strut braces etc(slightly off-topic) to get better handling, then put cr@p tyres on their bling 18 or 19 inch wheels cos they came in this really cheap package.
You look at the price of decent 18 or 19 inch tyres and they are around $250-$350 EACH. There's a reason why those package deals are so cheap. The tyres will negate all of those handling mods that you have on your car. You need to consider the cost of buying good handling tyres, they play as much a part if not more of a part in how your car handles, not to mention safety. You will find that good 19 inch tyres will make the package very unattractive from a price point-of-view.
