Hi guys just wondering what the difference is between KS Xi and Ei Veradas?
I purchased an Xi on the weekend and I'm picking it up tomorrow woohoo! :D
Just want to know the difference in the two.
At the moment all I know is that the Xi has controls on the steering wheel and two tone paint job.

In the KS XI,
Electric drivers seat
Optional leather
Nicer looking woodgrain,
Better radio
Boot Lid Liner
Better ETACS system (security and delay exit facility)

That is all I can think of at the moment, besides the 2 tone

Wow thanks guys... so thats all the difference? :D

Gonna put my 16" BBS on this on the weekend
Not bad for $3900 eh?! Only thing wrong with it is the SRS light is on permanently.
Must take it to mitsu dealer get it fixed. Everything else seems perfect.
I like the V6 engine note too! Apparently theseengines are the same engine as a NA GTO

The bottom ends are apparently the same, but that where the similarities end.

Some N/A GTOs had SOHC's in them...They were the lowest model.

Hehe thanks man!
OH! Lucky you reminded me! HEHE i will be removing those resonators and replacing them with McCormicks! HAHA :D
Then Ram pod and Replacing those stock 15" verada rims with the 16" BBS ones.
After that, i'll tint and re-trim in leather (only $499 for front and back leather!)
Also going to install a sunroof and some driving lights on the front bar.
Oh and have to take it to the mitsu dealer to get that SRS light fixed up (Wonder if anyone knows how much this will cost?)
I'll post pics as the work updates!

Took it for a test drive... these cars are so smooth!

I'm so excited to pick up the car!
The best thing about it, is no more rattling like a tractor at the lights and trying to hide from the public in shame! Oh and the power windows! Woohoo!

Hmmm also, I want to keep the stock head unit. Is it possible to have a 12" inch sub and replace the inside speakers with some nice ones and an aplifier? Would I still be able to keep the stock head unit?
:)

keeping the head unit should be no problem. ask in the audio section- but i imagine an amp (with sub out) coming off the rear speaker wiring should do the trick. then some nice splits for the front.
also, where are you getting $500 leather retrims done? is this normal price?

Hehe thanks for your reply!
The stock sound system sounds great. It has a good ammount of bass even for myself!
I love it!
Only weird thing is that it asks for the security code each time I turn the car on
Hmmm
Gonna make a thread and see if anyone can help me

Yes Dimi, I too find that the TR/TS V6 has a more sporty (gruffer) engine note than the TE onwards. The TE/TF 3.0 can sound a bit buzzy, but are as smooth as anything

Anyone know why this is so?

You know what! Thats a great idea! I might swap my TS indicator lights and put them onto the Verada! Would it be hard to swap them over? :doubt:

dimi, grab the whole blinker light assemlbly with your hands, and give it a yank, it will literally fall out.

its freeken easy to do, theres 1 plug, unplug iot and swap them around, 10 minute job man.

veryy easy, do you have clear side indicators aswell?

dimi108
23-03-2006, 06:03 PM
Yeah? I'll keep that in mind!
So all I do is just yank it out with the bonnet open?

Nawww no clear side indicators...
I want to get some though! Just don't know where! :doubt:

yep, just open the bonnet and give it a tug, it should fall right out! (well mine did anyway:cry:)

There is a clip behind the indicator with, if it is still there, a metal clip. You need pointy nose pliars to remove the clip, you then get a screww driver to push the clip back and then puse from inside to get the indicator out.

Given that your tail lights can not be changed to clear, personally I would keep the orange as they look better on the parras

Also be careful you do not damage the rear garnish, as these are unique on the KR XI and the KS, they are not avail from mits, I have about the only spare one that I know of that is any good.

unless of course you get the rada tail lights, which the blinkers are clear, and look ever so awesome :)

Just a note, yep it pops out, but that's also a problem, do it a few times and it gets easier and easier to pop out, until it keeps popping out.

I had that problem when I put in my paras, driving along shortly afterwards and heard a banging, pulled over, and there's my blinker swinging free... No amount of pressure from the metal clip would keep it in, so I strapped it in with a cable-tie (there's a few conveniently located holes, a little tricky, but works a treat).

I'd say that's why the metal clips are there to begin with, they probably found a problem that the plastic clip part simply didn't have the guts and "memory" to be relied upon to remain in place.

:stoopid:
the first time i went to take mine out, i literally just tapped it and it fell out!
so these must of been taken out a few times...every few weeks i just give them a nudge back in ;)

That sounds dodgy
Hope these ones never decide to *pop* out for no reason

Hmm
