k ya'll i'm gonna outline the details of my project to hopefully get some feedback from u's in the loop of knowledge.

time of hopefull completion 12/7/07

interior: pretty much stock for now later on get new gear like custom made (by me) CF console pannels (will produce these for others if they want them) and new seats.

engine (where the fun part is): start off with what i already done- hi flow TB and K&N CAI with pod, next up on the line is the thermo block and intake plenum, then after that working on new cams, FPR and just generally making the strongest NA engine possable by next year, after that i shall be working on twin turbo system with custom mounted intercooler mounted somewhere noone would expect with a channel from the custom bonnet vents feeding air, all this shall be run by a Greddy emanage.

exterior: already got the tint and tail lights (frosty goodness) and working on ralliart kit (just paying for it (thanks ashneel u'r a king among men)) with no WING for gods sake, and 18's or even 17's if they look good enough, afterwards i'm planning on having a custom CF boot that opens down the middle and lifts to the sides by air rams, and a custom CF bonnet..

any suggestions or anything would be appreciated i'm planning on breaking the 350hp mark eventually

If you where to go through RPW and it it NA you'll find it will cost you a fortune and the price tag would be near on turbo

maybe work on audio, dont know how yours is, but nearly all can do with a bit more, dont forget to sound deaden etc... And u could get your engine bay cleaned etc.... Maybe even get your engine painted to suit body paint

i'm not interested in audio soo much atm (got CD player with alpine splits and sony 6x9's and sounds aight) wanting to just go for oomph (also gonna work on making this as light as possable so not much sound deadning if any

maybe go for a light weight flywheel and stronger fuel pump, bigger injectors, just somethings off the top of my head

Here's a coupla ideas.
Porting and polishing. Dunno if anyone's done it on here so I couldn't throw up what type of gain you'd get but you would get something.
Twin intake runners. I know someone on here has made some up (EzBoy??), these'd consist of long runners for bottom end torque and short ones for top end power.

Can't wait to see the outcome of this project though

i'm interested in the cf console panels and bonnet, when you make these i may want a set.

I would recommend at least 19" rims. 17" look too small on the ralliart kit. 18" minimum but 19 is nice. :D

k ppls to start with i'm not going for looks terrebly much (sort that out later) i'm wanting to go for performance i want something that would run low 13's if possable

Traction is going to be your biggest enemy.

hmm other than getting LSD (not the drug lol) what would be the best way to overcome this issue

Well Mitsiman of RPW? is the only one around here with a 13 second (11.98 second actually) car - I think their having issues with the car eating up LSDs.

Sprintex swore on the AWD Magna, and it does have a lot of potential. The issues with the AWD are however for serious performance u'd need to convert to a manual, and then there is is weight, albeit not that much, but she's the heaviest magna around.

if this is so and u want better traction convert it to rear wheel drive or awd , then maybe an LS1 aluminium v8 or a lexsus aluminium v8 , just sell the drive train u have to get sum money back

^ what he said.

If you'd care for some engineering and a track only car, you might be able to wedge a toyota V8 in there

hmmm if i put a toyota V8 in there why dont i just buy a toyota  i want my magna and i want my mitsy V6 or possably a VR4

so why dont u sell it and look for an awd magna and do that up. its a misty and v6

i still think u should twin turbo it, get some serious power, and it is rarer than a supercharger :P

Yeah don't listen to these girls telling you to sell up. You have a TF so you can fit a MIVEC 3.0L V6 in, these are screamers. Maybe a US or Jap car came with a Mivec TT system, i know the 3000gt's are TT 3.0 but they have the g/box on the left (looking at car standing in front) where-as the 3rd gens g/box is on the right.. A serious NA magna would have alteast 8K worth of gear in it and a turbo/supercharged one would have like 9/10k in it so whats the point, just keep the cash and force it to suck

Jap Diamante's (30M) had a Mivec engine. Mivec engines never came with twin turbos from factory.

Ive done some research on these engines. Want some hints?

They have high compression ratio engines (10:1) but can go higher, about 11:1 .
there is a stroker kit for these engines. its not cheap ($4k) but comes with a knife edged crank (less parasitic loss) and and diameter and compression pistons you want. so you order a 2mm oversize and 11:1 comp ratio pistons and do a full rebuild.

Cams on Mivec engines are a black art, because when the cams lift when mivec comes on one small miscalculation in an aftermarket cam grind means 24 bent valves. Call Tighe cams, they are your best bet. big gains to be had, but expect to pay out the hole.

The heads are where you can make your real gains, a 24 valve 3L engine with a 11:1 comp ratio needs to breathe, a stage 2 port and polish will see you making some good numbers.

aside from that, some thermoblock gaskets, cai, custom tb and plenum. GOOD headers and exhaust.

Once thats all done, get that puppy on a dyno. if your still not happy, NAWS!

Nah - we only had one issue with the LSd and that was purely my own fault, Driving it in a really bad way. Mind you when you are launching on a stock gearbox, with massive slicks as often as I have, I am surprised the whole box lasted as long as it did. The thing is, we broke the LSd teeth, not the main gearbox so goes to show how strong they really are.

Now only if Mitsubishi had ever released a manuel awd - ahh dreams are made of thoughts like this. Then I woudl have had a 10 sec AWD twin turbo magna:badgrin:
