just curious if under car leds are legal while driving............ i was always under the opinion that aslong as you couldnt see the globe but only the glow of it , it was all good .......... is this correct ? (south australian law)
im also assuming that red isnt allowed because of brake light confusion ?

I'd imagine they would be illegal since it would be attempting to be fast and furious.

in QLD it is legal as long as you cant see the globes and their not blue, red, orange or white.

so if they green, purple, yellow or pink and you can't see the globe ur all good.

green is the most commonly used cuz the cops can't argue about it. where as purple they can claim looks blue, pink looks red etc...

i've seen a couple of red cars in town with green neons, my mate has an early integra with green 12" front and back, didn't look 2 bad at all. but you wanna check they are legal in SA be4 u do nething.

so are lots of the ricey things ricebarn has (thanks fooya for the ricebarn call), doesn't mean they legal.

go into transport department/cop shop and ask for a copy of the rules regarding external lighting. Better to be safe then have a defect notice and be down $300 for the neon kit.

AFAIK only WA have allowed them and you can't have green. Last I heard, they are not legal in QLD.

green, purple, pink and yellow are definately legal in qld cuz my mates have green 1's and the cops only go shitty if u can see the globe, plus he has a letter from the transport minister saying that they are legal. he just keeps it in his glovebox and theres no trouble.

i think the worst colour to get, for cops would be red. but there are heaps of blue ones out there, and theyve never really had many problems. just ask blake, hes been pulled over with them on numerous times. and the cops were unable to see th globe so let him go. Malcom on the other hand had green, but im pretty sure greens legal, i think they could see the globe on his
