hey guys, i have a big problem with my cooling system on my 2nd gen v6.

ive already replaced the water bar on it because one of the outlets had corroded away. now its leaking again from the water pump end.

ive taken the pump off and opened it up and made a gasket to suit it, and ive also replaced the Pump-block gasket. when i filled it with water and coolant and put air pressure in the radiator, the pump was leaking again. but this time from the back (i think). any ideas on what the problem could be????

yep, i did all that. i cleaned everything and even used wax and grease remover to get rid of any oil on any surface.

when i put the new water bar in with a new o-ring, i put silastik around it, but in the manual it says not to use and oil or grease to lube the o-ring and just use fresh coolant. was it that??

Are there any walsh plugs in the area?

it doesnt say to soak it, its says to just use fresh coolant to lube it...
i didnt think that using a sealant would have hurt it.

has anyone had a good look at a 2nd gen v6 water pump? there is like a small ball bearing on the bottom of it, is that meant to move? because mine is hard in there and wont shift.

this is driving me crazy!
