Guys I would like some help on this if you can.
Everytime I turn the car on and then turn the radio on it asks for the security code - each time
Its a bit of a hassle putting the code in each time I turn off the car and start it again and just want to listen to music.
I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before or knows of a fix.
Gets kind of annoying.
Its the stock double din cd/tape/radio in a Verada xi.
Thanks guys

I see that no-one else has replied, so, without owning a Verada or the radio unit you have, I'll give you a possible solution. It sounds to me like the direct 12V DC positive supply has been interrupted. Try checking your manual for the fuse location(s) for the radio. There may be a fuse for the switched (with ignition key in aux or on position) 12VDC positive and another one for the direct 12V DC positive.
The switched supply is for allowing the radio to turn on and sometimes for the audio output.
The direct supply is for retention of radio stations, unit setup, in some instances, time and also, sometimes for the audio output.
I hope that this wasn't "too obvious" and was beneficial.

Have you recently changed/installed/done any electrical work on the vehicle?
When you turn off the ignition key, does the H/U power off then, or a few seconds after you've taken the key out. Here when i say power off, I mean the screen goes blank.
If you've not done any work, I'd be guessing the fuse - but generally they wont operate without the +12 from the battery - like i said, just a guess!
if you've recently wired it up, i'd be suspecting incorrect wiring... perhaps you got +12 and ignition mixed up?
Are you having troubles with any other electrical components of the car? Interior lights/dash/head lamps?

Thanks so much guys for your time and effort :)
There seems to be no other apparent problem with the car cept the battery indicator comes up sometimes and so does the ABS lamp but i'll get those checked out.
Now the SRS light is always on, so i need that to be attended to ASAP.
But there seems to be no other problems or light failures with the car!
Hmmm..
Think it could be a fuse?

What's the condition of your battery?
Also, if your battery light keeps coming on, your alternator may not be charging the battery sufficiently (ie: all charge going to running car and not charging battery) so it may not have a good enough supply to maintain the radio when parked.
Does the starter sound sluggish when you start?

If any of the lights stay on especially srs or abs you should take your car to a dealer asap. I'd get that looked at, the radio/electrical problems could be stemming from the same issue with your other problems.
