Does anyone know what the "standard" times on the 1/4 mile that any of the 1st, 2nd,3rd gen 2.6, 3.0L and 3.5L magnas do as stock cars ?

yeah but they all vary, every car coming out of the factory isnt going to run identical, plus diff tracks, temps, and drivers amplify this difference.

From memory though the fastest stock magna did 14.7 i think (manual 3.5), and most auto 3.5L seem to run in the mid 15's stock, 3L auto's about a second slower, dunno about 4cyl.

hope i helped !

You would find that car would have been a sports/vrx/ralliart one of them and a stock auto can't run a mid 15, i run my stock 3.5 manual and run a 15.7.

That is a freak time for a stock car... Dont go by that....

A stock manual 3.5 exec should do a low 15... A sports/vrx should do a 15.0 (14.9 if your names ego :) ).. Stock Ralliart. Well mine did a 14.6 stock...

15.7 is a cr@p time for a 3.5 manual... Need to learn to drive it hard

A manual Sports should be faster than a VR-X, but that's clutching at straws. Both should nominally run a 15.0. Manual exec's should sit only .2 - .3 seconds behind if that.

Agreed. Either that or unload those fully sic subs from the boot.

you won't run a high 14 in a manual 3.5ltr TH, will need a TJ sports/vrx/ralliart. i've tried lol

i ran a 15.3 in a stock TH manual and then 14.9 with extractors and muffler, but that time can be improved for sure

there are times out there for stock or near stock magna's that i think are bogus(TE 3.0 14.6, TJ exec 14.7)... unless it was 5 deg and the RA was 0

Errr, it's a TJ Sports.

And i'd guess around a 16 flat at best.

If you want to see some times, check out the quarter mile registry

But yeh.. why bother speculating? Why not just make the effort and see what it *DOES* run and take it down the track :P

Ahhhh... yes I have taken mine down the 1/4 mile but I have a heap of boltons so I wanted to know what stock times where to compair with my times to get a gauge as to how much time difference the boltons actualy gave me !

With a 3.0 auto you'd be looking at 16.5/6, 3.5 around the 16 flat mark.
3.0 manual high 15's, 3.5 mid/low 15's
Vrx/sports TJ manual, flat 15ish.

Of course the manuals tend to vary a lot more due to driver innacuracies ;)

This is from my experience of Perth cars at the motorplex.

I say it really depends a lot on your driving...launching and how fast you can shift.....and how you shift...and what you do with the throttle while you shift, etc.

I would say that anything between a 15.3 and a 16.3 is possible.

Let us know....

We're talking standard, which neither yours nor my car is :P
Take your muffler, CAI and panel out - get some stock wheels/tyres and see what you run lol

A sports/vrx should do a 15.0 (14.9 if your names ego :))..

You got that part right.. But that was my first ever run and i reckon if i didnt fry the clutch i could of got a 14.8..:D

With 5kw Extra and a fat Fcuk like me can get a man VRX to do 14.6 then anyone can..:P
BTW i need improvement off the start and thats flat changing every gear and driving it like its stolen..:P

Hi Matthius... but the problem with that is I also have a unichip pacemaker extractors high flow steel cat etc etc etc.... bit hard bro but if the gunna guys in the west actualy turn up to the next meet (posted by mitsiman) then I may just get to run against a couple stock
magnas and other manuals etc !

Nah I meant Tim-E, he was having a chuckle at my estimated stock time of high 15's seeing as his slightly modded one runs a 15.1 and I reminded him his car isn't stock anymore :P
I've been down 3 times myself got 2 lots of 15.9 stock and 15.54 with a CAI and muffler swap, won't be able to go down much anymore though, in the middle of buying a house
