Ok so as some of u know i have carbon fibre tail lights on my tj, i got bored today and tinted my stockies, let me know which ones u guys like better coz i cant decide i like em both

I just can't stand those lines over the cf ones. It just ruins the look IMO

how bout painting the stock lights white, and make it a thin coat so that it suits the body but the light still gets through, hehehe me and my stupid ideas :D

im not a big fan of the cf ones... the lines dont look right. If you had to have either, id say tinted. Looks ridiclously dark... i like it :D

what about ... tinting the cf ones :D might be an expensive lesson though.

i like the tinted ones... they are dark tho but still wikked,... mine are tinted ( only 3-4 coats )never been pulled up once in 3 yrs ...

i was looking into the chromes tail lights for my magna but more members voted against them. I decided after that that none of the tail lights i liked and stopped bothering.

ok now my opinion. Carbon ones look good. I recall in those if you have a close look you get the webbed fibres which i always thought you looks really really ricy.
Tinted ones i think look bloody good. I'm not sure if thats the actual colour or if the camera is making them darker than they should be? i would expect them to be very dark red but they look black.

Things to think about. A very dark tinted car, black wheels and black lights would look damn sweet on any coloured car. What i think would make them totally #$%@ hot on your car would be a chrome strip on the bottom ( i recall someone on the forums saying you could ge something like that for $5) and possible a reflector in your bumper.

on the down side if they are illegal thats a WEEEEEEE problem.

another idea. (I assume tinting is just a thin layer on top.)

tint them that dark but leave the reverse lights still visible. I think that would match the white car Real nice

but hey a bit late suggestion i know :)

any modification to tail lights is illegial so no issues there, lol i dnt care
as for the camera i think it does make em look a bit darker, but they r still pretty dark. i've seen darker though, ahh well i'll just see wat happens, maybe swap between them every couple of days

Honestly though carbon gets the win for the two choices. I dont know why or since when Chrome and carbon ones are not thumbs down? I thought they were great mods. Since you have both carbon and tinted just play around with it.(I would)

imo dont tint your lights, they might look good but they are illegal and your insurance wont cover you if you get rear-ended. yes thats right, if your tail-lights are tinted and you hit the brakes and get hit by the person behind you.... regardless if they tailgating you, its your fault coz your lights are obscured. and coz tinting the tail-lights is not legal, it wont be covered by insurance even if it wasnt your fault

i say tinted but u did make it a weeeeeeeeeeeeeee lil dark. how many coats? 5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 lol ne whose if u did like a semi light tint that will look hot.

Those carbon fibre ones look nice.

tinted lights, debadge, get an interior P Plate, perhaps remove the pride sticker (:P). Make it look sleek :)

Carbon fiber. Those lights are far, far too ****ing dark.

tinted.... im gunna do the same on mine maybe tomorrow... if not sunday... just wondering, well making sure really... when ure tinting the lights... am i spraying it on the inside or outside of the casing?
