Hey there guys well i just thought i would drop in and show u my latest modification to my wagon as u will be able to see i have just finished doing my bootinstall which included makin a new ported sub box and makin 2 seperate false fronts for the amp and the capacitor, also included runnign 2g power cable throught the car and hookin up some apsolutely monsterous fuses. Over all i am extremly pleased with the out come, next there will be ice blue leds mounted in the boxes and a set of mtx 6x9's mounted in the top of the amp and capacitor boxes. Enjoy ohhh yeah and i respect anyone that can vinyl anythign well. And also in the neer future i will be putting a false floor in and be mounting a hoge amp in the moddle of the floor under a perspex part of the flase floor. Also be covered in black vinyl.

Is a capacitor really necessary for only 1 sub i thought ya only needed em if yor putting in a ****load of power?

yeah at the moment the cap is just somethig to look at but in the neer future im going to be upgrading to a mtx 15inch 1000w sub and that will get powered by my new amp which i have yet to install since i dont have the sub yet, so yeah and the existing amp will be powering my new 6x9's that will be there soon. So kinda just doing the hard work now so lateron it is a smooth tranisition to a bigger system. Like i dont need the 2g power cable and fuses i have set up but i do for future planning which wil be going ahead.

lol u can get em of EBAY for like $40 delivered to ur house. but mine is in MPH but its really easy to read. with these gauges installed in our cer all u have to do is multiply by 2 to wat ever speed is readin on the gauage. for example if ur doin 40MPH in real terms ur doin 80KMPH its really simple. now since if told u when can ya do mine :P

yeah.. you times MPH by 1.6 to get KPH
Do you get passed a lot when you're on the freeway? :bowrofl:

I was going to ask about the gauges as well. They look awesome. Shame about being in MPH tho.

1.609 is what you multiply MPH with to get KPH. 45mph x 1.609 = 72.405kph. enjoy.

there was a big debate on this before, but with those EL dials, you do just double them. Its nothing to do with what km=miles. .. its just the placement of the numbers on the speedo circle. (they are ment for diamantes which only go up to 220 while magnas read up to 240 - dont quote me). But yer, you just double them :)

just a question on the install, does it need to be that big, the boxes r huge, couldnt u of made it smaller, or was it bcoz the mtx required the space so u just made the others to suit??
cheers

hahahahaah class thread guys you all relay lost the plot there with the el dial threads but neways it was very entertainign read but in regards to the comment abotu the boxes being so big well they are like that for hte reason that the ported subbox that i made was designed by mtx and therefore apsolutely huge so yeah i just made the others to suit and well yes it does take up over half of my boot space in the wagon but i dont care the amount of bass that comes out of that 1 mtx just apsolutely poo's all over most if not all of the 12inch subs i have head to date and hel even some 15's. Now we need to redo the sound off. I know i would be pushing over 135bd.
