Hi,
I just got pacemaker extractors fitted it cost $750 cheapest in Wollongong:doubt: (yes I know it's prob on the rich side) and it took about 4 hours from start to fnish.

I'ts like a diffrent motor, under 3K it has so much more grunt and above 3K it's really responsive. Normaly I come down Bulli Pass in 3rd and use breaks just on the hair pin but now the compression breaking is hardly there so i have to break farly hard. The other thing I noted was is that it makes a deeper groan on take off but less boomieness on highway.

Definatly worth it as a bolt on mod. I had it dyno tested with just the pod 112Kw, so I would like to see what it has now.

Just wanted get some feedback on what other people thought of before and after the pacemakers.

Thanx.

omg...
Upgrade PC.....or Pacies.....

:/

I hate making choices.

EDIT:
Ah good I see you have the 3.0L
Was wanting to hear some comments on this mod for the 3L folks.

It really made a noticeable difference? Cause alot of people saying a cat back exhuast makes a noticeable gain, but to be honest I noticed nothing. And seing as Extractors do almost nothing to the sound (the only reason I got the exhuast) I would be buying them purely for the performance gain. So it better be noticeable.

I have a 1998 TF 3.0L auto magna!
I fitted pacemakers and front to rear exh system including high flow steel cat 2.5" exh tube high flow center and rear muffler and this gave me the single biggest boost in performance !!
i have also fitted panel filter (prior) and unichip (after) and the unichip rates 2nd and filter 3rd in line of added performance ! Then there is the exhaust note... I had fitted the 24" hotdog style center muffler and 24" S/S oval rear muffler and the grooowwl is just supurb ! Well worth the expence ! I had them fitted front to rear drive in drive out $1,440 Perth !

Do you ever go one topic without attacking someone for NO reason? That was extremely random...he just made a comment and was by no means having a go at you. Jeez mate, lighten up

i think slammed GTV in intitled to 1 or 2 offtopic posts being that he has been here basically since the dawn of AMC time..

its strange with extractors, some say they made a huge difference others say they felt no real gain ..maybe it just comes down to particular engine... or individuals perception

1) I ain't a QLD Rep.. I'm just the behind the scenes guy!
2) I hardly do it.. but 24 inches.. Something a few of us would have a lil laugh at.. Take it easy mate!

Pacies - I believe they do hang a touch low on the 3L.. Is this correct..?

Hmmm, maybe this is time for a POLL! Cause i wanna do extractors, but now half of u are makin me question it. I say a poll of DID EXTRACTORS MAKE A DIFFERENCE OR NOT? A simple YES or NO. And by difference, even if it was tiny, still vote yes, if u want explain in a post. Just an idea! :D
