stupid question but yeah how do you do it

I can tell you now that you can't do it through the fuel cap easily lol.

One way I know of is to take the bottom part of your rear seat out and there will be a round silver plate there, just unscrew that and lift it out carefully as this is where your fuel gauge sender unit is and you'll be able to get the fuel out that way.

should be a drain plug under the tank. never actually looked on a 3rd gen myself but must cars do.

also why the f****** cant you syphon straight out of the fuel filler????

You should be able to syphen from the fuel filler with one of these.

It all depends on how the tube goes down between the fuel cap and the tank and how far your hose will go down.
I've also been informed by a mech that some cars do have some nicely shaped tubes to the tank making it difficult to get a hose down there.

You cant syphen the fuel from the fuel filler are trust me i tried.

To actually get the fuel out what i did was unplug the fuel pump connectors with no petrol in them when unplugged. So what u have to do is connect a long piece of plastic hose attach it to the fuel out line and turn the ignition to acc to get some power to the pump them turn it off and the fuel will very slowly come out lol it takes a while to empty a full tank hahaha.

Im pretty sure i did my syphening that way as there seems to be some kind of mesh or some kind of cover just before the fuel reaches the fuel tank maybe to make sure no big pieces of any thing can get in either that or i dunno what could be in the way.
