No Mr Troll this doesn't help anyone. The government has an official site that list recalls for all makes and models. Posting a link to a Mitsubishi haters site with useless and irrelevant info is not very smart. :gtfo:

well thats not a nice why to greet somone who's looking out for fellow amc members i think ur the moron if ur that quick to be nasty. and by the way that is the government site that tells u about recalls , not just magna ones any car maker that has a recall on there vehicle will be posted there, it just happened to be on the mistubushi part of it. could be usefull to any one who hasn't seen it. i looked at that site when i first got my magna and it made me change the seat belt stalks so my kids or other half dosent get hurt if were in a crash. so in summarry dont jump down somones throat especially if all he's trying to do is warn ppl of any defects there car might have for safty.dam ur quick to be nasty all cause u looked at the way the link was spelt and aasumed it was a magna haters club when it is acctually a government site put there for our safty. so GREEN uve been a member since 2003 u of all ppl have been here long enough not to assume, did u even look at the site before u got nasty cos if u did u might not have said what u did.

I can't see that mitsubishisucks.com it is a Government site. If is was, I don't believe it would be in their best interests and in good taste for a GOVERNMENT to name it Mitsubishi SUCKS. From what I can tell, it's one person who had some bad dealings with Mitsubishi Japan and wants to now expose how bad, corrupt whatever Mitsubishi alledgely is. Further, I didn't see any other recall information from other car manufacturers besides Mitsubishi. Maybe I didn't look hard enough:think:

ok i wasnt 100% right, it not a government run site but it is a mistubushi mototrs site that puts up any problems or defects in it's vehicles(eg, colt, lancer, etc etc).so as i stated before i think it's wrong to to get up another member just because the link indicates that mistubushi vehicles arnt perfect. when all he wanted to do was inform fellow members that havent seen it about any defects on there mistubushi(magna) so none of us gets hurt. and so they can check there car to make sure its already been looked at, changed, fixed etc etc
so calling somone a moron cos there thinking about our safety i think is low. most of us might have already seen or read about any defects on our cars but for the new members who havent seen or read it i think need to. so i say good on him.
http://www.mitsubishisucks.com/
this is the main page and it has every model mistubushi produced eg galant. eclipes
so just ignore what its called because theres alot of info about our magnas in here
so its well worth checking it out. better to be safe than sor:D ry and the info in here is what it said on other sites. cos ive checked up on the old tp before.
oh and just in case ur ego is hurt by the links title type recall parts into google and ull see holden has the record for the most recalls. its had it's 20th commodore recalled and ford has a few as well. and theres not many manufactures that havent had a recall. so id rather here about it than not, just to keep the family safe.
This is good looking at just car recalls
http://dynamic.dotars.gov.au/recalls/index.asp
it even shows the recall that was on the TN's back in 1987
[edit] Just saw magnas, Veradas, Pajeros and 3000G's built in 1991-95
Defect: A small crack may develop in the upper front brake hoses leading to leakage of brake fluid.
Consequences: Brake pedal travel increases and effectiveness of the service brakes is reduced, resulting in increased stopping distance.
Corrective action: Replace both upper front brake hoses.
Didnt know that...

almost all of them recalls on that site are inactive, meaning, NO MORE! apart from the brake hose recall, where some cars are still outstanding, the rest wont mean absolutely anything to anyone! if people did in fact still own 20 year old cars.. the recall would have already been carried out, otherwise they are driving unregistered vehicles! safety recalls must be carried out on all cars affected, meaning, if you were the 10th owner of a car, and mitsu never had your details in the system, they'd then pass the affected vin numbers to the rta, vic roads, and other vehicle registering government bodies, to stop registration on your car when it was time to re-register! you'd be informed that your car would have to have the recall carried out, before it could be registered! after that.. the recall is then inactive, meaning the "left overs" are more than likey farm cars, total wrecks, or just plain scrapped!

Sorry i didn't want to start a flame war
but if you noticed the govement site is the same as the the site i posted but it's all the mitsubishi cars, i never look at the address of the site as i found it useful and i thought others might as well
in regards to the inactive meaning it's completed and all the cars are fixed it's not true, as my TN 88 suffered the seat belt stalk problem and it's not listed at all. Most the TM, TM, TP don't have any vins listed and these items were checked at your next mitsubishi done service(if the car owner got there car serviced there)
And thank you for all that replied with a useful infomation and support for why i posted this in the first place

if your car is taken to a mitsu dealership for any type of service the car gets a printout of any recalls for that car
same go for most dealerships
