While I was in NZ I saw a white VRX with silver inserts in the lower side skirts.. front and rear

Thanks to Booya for the Photoshop :D

What do you think? RED, WHITE or Silver (my choice) :?: :?:

I reckon the red look sweet. It would look even sweeter if you had a ralliart decal (white writing) made to fit the space between the red insert and the rear wheel on the side skirt.

Definatly a nice chrome Silver.. just like the interior paint of my car. I can give ya a can of the paint if you want... no charge.

not red, it looks kinda mismatched. definately silver, or if you know a panel beater - mesh inserts instead!!! ;)

Sorry, but rice springs to mind.

Not having a go. With the right combo, I think it could be effective. I like subtle undertones thought so maybe a dark gray?

Hmm pitty about the photoshop......
Who did it?

Anyways...
You could also get some Vinyl and stick it on ... you can get chrome vinyl (ie sticker stuff that is used on decals etc)... it may not stay on but if you didnt like it at least you could then remove it and not have stuffed you good paint job.. and it will be full on chrome .. not chrome sort of look like paint..

um, i did

it was really hard to follow the "curves" as
a) its a dark colour, and it masked the shadows very well
b) it was just dark all together
c) they were the best shots he had, so i had to 'try' follow what i could see

i know, its still no excuse for dodgy work

I vote no colour....or if you decide to do it, do it with stickers as suggested. :)

i reckon whatever colour you choose paint your calipers/discs the same colour. it will look heaps better coz the inserts on there own looks out of place. also i would prefer the silver or something subtle. the red is too much of a contrast with nothing else to match it. maybe with the brakes too it would look ok.

Forget the skirts. Looks bad.

And lose the ralliart badge on the boot, above the 'Magna' badge to left of Number Plate. Looks so, so fake.

if thats the case then go the red inserts too. do it all at once and it should look sweet.

The Ralliart Badge sitting above the Magna badge. It is a Ralliart Bage, yes?

Why put a Ralliart badge on a car that is not a Ralliart. that is like ford drivers putting V8 badges on a 6, or grabbing a HSV sticker and putting it on a bog crappo Comodore Executive. Seriously. I would never do it.

I would go and buy a TJ ralliart for 37 on road, like you can now.

who cares. get over it. what people want to do to their own cars is their own buisness.

each to their own.

I just thought a Magna Owners club like this would be a little less accepting of 'badging up' a car. I am wrong it seems.

No probs. :)

CRAP!!!

Im all for badging of cars..
(V8 on 4 banger hmmmmm well maybe not to that extent) But I wanted and did put the Diamante garnish and text on my car.
What is the difference between badging and putting stickers on your car as well...? NON!
I was going to put a ralliart badge on the car as well but a) it was too expensive for me :( and b) it didnt go with the other stuff I had stuck on the car :D

CanberraVR-X = I like the badge I dont know what it looks like in the postion you have it.. the picture is too small.. but heck if you like it then case closed.
