Im in the planning stages of my boot install but have just been thrown a curve ball.
I was going to run a single 12" but a now have the chance to get 2 pioneer TS-W254F 10" free air subs cheap.
Just wondering if anyonw is running dual 10's and if they provide enough bass in such a large car?
I have done drawings for both setups so either is an option at the moment.
The dual 10 install will be easier tho as they are free air subs so i wont have to stuff around creating some "interesting" curves.
Please only post if you have or know of someone with them in a 3rd gen. I dont care about 1st or 2nd gen as the boots are all different.
Thanks
David

Free air arn't really "free air". They basically use your boot as it's box, though from what i've heard free air subs dont sound as loud as boxed subs. Dual 10 inch subs if amped well should be a fair bit of bass. Just depends on how much bass you want?
whats wrong with your current one? not loud enough? in a bad enclosure?
do you want two 10s just coz u can? coz two subs look better than one, or simply just coz u can? lol
I say stay with the 12 and make a good box for it.

Nothing wrong with it at all its only 4 months old :) i would like it louder though
at the moment the box and amp are just loose in the boot so they slide all over the place with my "spirited" driving. The plan was always to do a propper install so thats why i dont want to spend time and money on fitting them in place now. The Power and speaker cables keep getting pulled out (which is very bad).
Ive never heard 2 10's in a Magna which is why im wondering if its a good idea or not?
Either that or maybe i get 2 12s instead.
I liked the idea of the free air subs though as it gives me alot more freedom for the install. But i dont want to sacrifice good bass because of it. If they arent going to be as good as the single 12 i already have then i wont bother and ill just go with what i have now. Just alot more work for the install

I know a guy who has 4x10" in a second gen. sounds awsome, he listens mostly to fast techno/trance

I used to run 2 x 10's
Went alright
But there's no reason why a good 10 cant have as much output and power handling as a 15".
