hey pplz
just got back from puttin the magna on a dyno. i only managed to get 102.3 kws at the wheel, and about 128.7 kw at the flywheel. now thats alot less than the apparent 147 kw they apprently come from the factory with lol. but yeh havent done alot just a custom CAI, K&N Ram Pod, pacemakers and a 3A racing cannon. Not sure what to do now im sorta all out of ideas. Might be time to give up on it all i think  .

If it's auto then that's probably about right. If it's manual i'd say something's a miss.

Thats not right. I did my one and i had a str. mufler the rest was stock and got about 112.1kw at the wheels. I have a TJ 3.5 auto. Is yours is 3.5? and manual? Then its should be much more with your mods.

The flywheel figure can only ever be an estimate, so I wouldn't get too hung up on it. Also, different dynos give different numbers on different days.
Unless you ran back to back with another similar car that pulled significantly more, I wouldn't stress too much :D

when my tj sports was still stock I pulled both 124kW and 112kW on the same dyno..

why do u care seriously ?
magna dyno runs are fun cos u get to see how ur car compares to other magnas under the exact same conditions .... but when u just go in for a random dyno it dosnt hold much wait at all ..
i say dont even bother about going to another place, if it aint broke dont fix it... if u want more power get some mods ... but dont hang it all up on a dyno chart

my car when auto pulled 99.7kW atw, of course i thought something was up (still drove fine though) after the manual conversion it was dyno'd again (different shop) and pulled 127.7kW atw. the only other change was splitting the exhaust at the rear wheels for my twin mufflers.
no dyno reading is ever 100% correct

I'd be more concerned about the shape of the torque curve and the air:fuel. If you're running rich constantly then you need to lean off and get some power.

Remove the cannon.
it might help the performance.
Will certainly make it sound/look better :shifty: lol :P

yeh he mentioned that the air and fuel ratio is kinda high like 0.85 lol. they guy was saying that a forced induction only runs less than 0.84. buy apprently the only way to change it is with a chip and tune

I hope he didn't say .85 cos that's not an air-fuel ratio :P You're looking for a number like 12:1.. at idle your car should run 14.7:1 and at WOT it should be around 12.5:1.
Numbers lower than 14.7:1 are rich, and numbers greater than 14.7:1 are lean.
If you had any richer than 12.5:1 at WOT then your car runs rich and won't make the power it should. Any leaner and there's a risk of detonation.
A turbo car might run 10:1 at WOT, using the extra fuel to cool the combustion chamber.
