Hi people.
I currently own a TE 3Litre and i am looking at giving the engine some more power. Iam unsure as of the difference in mods to a 3.5 is it just a cam and bigger throttle body package and also what sort of performance chips are out there ?
Thanks!!!
3.5 is diff to the 3,0ltr so the cams wont fit without modificationg
as for the throttle body they are the same so they will fit if u wanna get one that will the 3.0ltr then its all good

There's not much modification though.. it's just the dowel pin. :P
TJmitsy, anything you can do to a 3.5L you can do to a 3L, so you can base your direction on that. The one exception at the moment is that Sprintex don't want to fit their 3.5L supercharger kit to a 3L yet.

So to hijack, but is there any word of sprintex EVER doing the 3.0's?

Ok TJmitsy !
I have the 1998 TF 3L auto magna with a heap of boltons !
Fitted: K&N panel filter, Unichip in the computer, pacemaker tuned length extractors, 2.5" exhaust tube, hi flow steel cataletic converter, hotdog style straight thru center mufler, oval S/S straight thu rear muffler, Whiteline front strut brace, Whiteline 24mm front swaybar, Whiteline 22mm rear adustable swaybar, Ralliart front brakes with 294mm EBU slotted rotors, green stuff brake pads, external auto oil cooler, 1998 SSV rear spoiler fitted, red/black colour coded seat inserts, red/black leather wrap momo steering wheel, 17" AMG techart alloys with ventus 235 x 45 17" rubber, window tint........ still some more to go ! lol
What worked the best:
1. The 1st single biggest increase in power I noticed was a front to rear exhaust system !
2. The 2nd biggest increase in power was the Unichip instalation !
3. The 3rd was the K&N panel filter !
4. Brakes are a must have... no good going fast if you cant stop lol At least get the EBU
274mm slotted rotors and green stuff pads if you cant aford the ralliart brake coversion.
5. Handling is ordinary at best standard, but be carefull with the dynamics as what ever you
do to the front you must do to the rear and visa versa the rear set up on the swaybar if
you have not got one fitted already will cause major headacks if your not carefull !
6. The rest of the stuff is for show !
1. Exhaust if you go cheep & not tuned length then your wasting your hard earned money.
2. Unichips, I think you could do better with a haltec greedy piggy back, speek to dave RPW
3. K&N filter ! I dont beleve you can do better than the K&N panel filter !
Hope this info has helped !
