just got my xforce muffler, not installed yet, im thinking of getting a full redback exhaust from ebay as well. will i be able to remove the redback muffler and put on my xforce and will it be worth doing or should i just put the xforce on the stock exhaust? my car is a TH 3.0L auto. if im not going to notice much of a performance increase i won't bother spending another $400 on the redback. any suggestions appreciated.

The Redback back box is nice and quiet at small throttle openings, but has a great deep note when you open it up. The full cat-back system is better again, which is what I have on my 3.0L manual. I need to remove the bottom resonator on my inlet to try and get a tiny bit more noise happening.

I actually want to get extractors fitted which I think will make the sound even better. It can be a bit quiet at times, and does drone a bit around 2000rpm with the engine labouring. However it doesn't attract the attention of the cops unless you are redlining it past them.

Since you have already bought the XForce, just get that fitted with a nice tip. Look at getting the section from the Cat to the XForce done later if you feel it needs it. The 1st muffler is the more restrictive one and should be replaced... which is why the full redback system is so nice. A hotdog replacing the first muffler will be too loud in most cases, the cops will be on your back. Forget a straight through pipe.

Basically, have a look at the threads on redbacks for the past 6 months.... there was a great one here (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32779)

if your after noise, eventually fit a hotdog in there

yea there is some gain in the cat back system, a more responive engine

Do these 2 pieces just bolt together, im assuming they do, there's no extra piping needed is there?

If you already have the rear muffler then there is no point in buying the whole kit... you can buy whats pictured, STR361 on its own

I'd also be interested to know whether it's completely bolt on?
