i drive a 96 TE 3L V6 Auto Sedan
got a quote today for drivers side top engine mount to be replaced today. The guy from the shop was really nice and helpfull and he seemed an honest guy.
He rang someone to get a price on the engine mount when i was there and got quoted $235 and he said he would install it for me for a total price of $270 so thats pretty good i think except are the engine mounts usually this *** expensive ?
Its just the rubber insert bit of the mount thats split, the rest of the unit is fine. Can you not just replace the insert ?

if memory serves me right, i think the mechanics can get the mount @ about $160 (genuine mitsu part) coz Rhino replaced that same engine mount for Chantra just last week

yeah i might drop by mitsy in the riff and ask. if i can get it for $160 ill do it myself
i know how to do it, ive done them before ( on a different car )
but i thort a mechanic could get the parts cheaper, and even with instalation it might be easier 2 just pay them.

the $160 was the mechanic's trade price that Mitsubishi sells to them, but i think it excludes GST

This is an excellent idea, i have done this to my AW11 MR2 and the feel and response after fitting them is amazing, dont go too hard though or you might not like the vibrations, i went for 90 shore in the MR2 and it ended up ripping the front mount straight out of where it bolts under the car, but still defiinately worth it. Dont think ill do it to the Verada as th missus wont like it and ill never hear the end of it.
