Hey guys...

My TP magna has 2 pinpoint holes in the radiator where it has corroded thru at the top seal...

does anyone know of a cheap fix until i can afford a new radiator?

Cheers

Michelle

u could solder it untill u buy a new one. just drain ur radiator enough to go past the pin holes and grab a coil of solder and then grab and elec solder (from a freind or $20 From dick smith). then plug em up untill u get a new one. $245 brand new off ebay or go to ur local wrecker and grab a second hand one and give it a clean then light sand and coat it in a can of the engine enamel(heat proof paint) then bob's ur uncle:D

Have you tried Barrs Radiator Stop Leak? buy a bottle from KMart etc, usually works for pinhole leaks and other seepages.

Alternately I have plugged up 1 pinhole in my TN radiator top tank with a smear of JB Weld (2-part epoxy cold weld compound). Works better than my attempts at soldering... top tank is a very efficient heatsink --its a radiator, duh!-- and even a 80W soldering iron won't get it hot enough to melt solder.

Putting a raw egg in your radiator is also very effective at stopping pinhole leaks in your radiator.

Cheers,
