View Full Version : Car stallls after battery gets reconnected
 Okay, I unplug the battery cause I had to do some wielding, after when I was finished with the job I connected the battery again. And now it keeps stalling! I put it on reverse it stops, I put it on drive it moves but as soon as I decelerate the revs drop and it eventually stalls when my car is rolling.
I can't drive it anywhere without it stalling!

wat were u welding? coz my car was stalling when i blew a fuse. check all ur fuse.
After disconnecting the battery you are supposed to start the engine and let it idle for a good 10-15 mins before driving it to let the computer set it self up.Hope this helps.:D
Just one of the rings that holds your handbrake cable in place near the rear wheel. It was snapped so the tension was gone.
But nevermind guys, I found out the problem. The ECU resetted and i didn't take enough took time for it to learn. But farout it stalled on me 5 times during a 3point turn and I was stuck in the middle of the road in an awkard position that I can't go forward cause I'll hit the gutter or backwards cause it'll stall if I hit reverse!
Thanks for the help Ashneel!:D
You were spot on slUG!
that was the problem-
Except i started to drive it down the street and drove harder as I got annoyed each time it stalled on me when I braked.
thanks again~
No problems.I have heard of a few people that have done the same thing!Glad it worked out for ya!:D

Same with my TP EFI (manual), when I reconnect the battery I can drive straight away without letting it reset at idle. Would this affect the operation of the vehicle whilst driving, or is it just an idle thing?

dont think it will affect manuals coz u have ur cutch to play with for ur revs and us autos dont
